Gasoline prices have increased while car users still have to drive every day to work or for other tasks.
The tips below come from Mia Bevacqua, an ASE (American Automotive Service Excellence) certified auto technician and engineering and mechanics editor at CarParts.
1. Warranty and periodic maintenance
It is one of the most recommended tips for using cars effectively, but is also `forgotten` by many people.
In addition, do not ignore any unusual signs of the vehicle, such as when a warning light flashes.
2. Inflate tires properly

`Fuel economy can be reduced by 0.4% due to underinflated tires by just one psi,` Bevacqua explains.
3. Get rid of leftovers
Lighter weight consumes less fuel.
4. Turn off the air conditioner
Many people are accustomed to turning on the air conditioner during the journey, but this device is one of the factors that contributes to the most significant fuel consumption.
5. Remove the roof rack and roof box
Better aerodynamics means the car needs less fuel.
6. Steady throttle
This is one of the topics that is mentioned a lot when it comes to saving gas, but not everyone can do it.
7. Planned journey
This is also a reason why shipping companies have to pay logistics costs.
8. Do not turn off the engine when stopping quickly
Because many car models today are equipped with Start/Stop technology, drivers do not need to turn off the engine if they only stop for a few minutes.
9. Do not use fuel with an octane rating lower than recommended

Drivers can identify the octane rating by reading the number on the type of gasoline they often fill.
Technically, octane is a hydrocarbon with anti-knock properties. This compound in gasoline is considered a quantity to evaluate the ability to resist detonation before the spark plug ignites.
In a gasoline engine, if the cylinder pressure is high enough when the piston compresses the air (gasoline-air mixture), the fuel will explode early while the piston is still moving up.
Gasoline with a higher octane rating is more expensive.
10. Do not let the rpm go too low

Engine rpm is the number of engine revolutions per minute.
Low rpm means the machine spins slowly, high rpm means the camera spins fast, working `harder`.
