Lukaku, before that, passed the first part of the medical examination with Chelsea in Milan on Monday, August 9.

For Lukaku, joining Chelsea this time is a return, helping him complete what was left unfinished at the beginning of his career.

Returning to Chelsea this time, Lukaku signed a five-year contract, until 2026. He simultaneously set a record at the London club: being the player bought at the most expensive price – 135 million USD, and enjoying the highest weekly salary.

Lukaku first moved to Chelsea in 2011, but only played 15 matches in all competitions, including 10 Premier League matches.

Last season, he scored 24 goals and 11 assists, making a major contribution to helping Inter win the scudetto, ending nine years of Juventus dominating Serie A. Lukaku said that the 2020-2021 season was the best of his career.
