More than a month since the start of the `homeless` trip by bicycle from Ba Ria – Vung Tau, 4 people in the family of Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan (36 years old) and Ms. Bui Thuy (30 years old) have passed more than 200 years of age.
Mr. Tuan said that the destinations on the journey were recommended by everyone, close to nature, orchards, not tourist areas, so his children could have fun and learn.
Mr. Tuan’s family temporarily stayed deep in Da Teh forest to avoid the hot summer and rainy season of Lam Dong.
During the journey, the family gets a new member, a baby monkey that they redeem for 1.5 million VND from the owner who often beats him.
Along the way, the family also encountered many challenges such as going over a pass at night because there was no safe place to set up camp.
Recently, Nam – his 2-year-old daughter – got malaria in the forest. He and his wife worked together to learn how to take care of their sick child.
`For me, incidents are not difficulties but challenges and overcoming them, both husband and wife and children have more strength and lessons for themselves. Especially when traveling, we always meet many people.
Yellow dogs or baby monkeys are animals that are redeemed or treated by the family during the journey.
During the trip, the couple realized that the whole family gained lessons and skills that would not have been possible if they only stayed at a permanent home.
Once while in the forest, his 5-year-old son accidentally encountered a snake, but his parents guided him in advance so he knew how to give way to avoid danger.
Ms. Thuy shared that children are always innocent, they have no fear, it is entirely because adults instill in them.
Currently, the family’s income remains at 3-5 million VND/month.
Currently, there are many people criticizing Tuan and his wife’s journey and parenting style, but they don’t pay too much attention.
