UEFA’s first mistake was that Heselschwerdt put Man Utd’s ball into the basket to meet Villarreal, then Arshavin picked Man Utd.
The second mistake was that Heselschwerdt put Liverpool in the basket that could meet Atletico Madrid, even though these two teams were in the same group.
The third mistake is that Man Utd was not included in the basket that could meet Atletico, even though these two teams were eligible to meet.

Immediately after UEFA finished drawing, a few clubs complained.
After nearly an hour of discussion, UEFA decided to redraw at 9:00 p.m. the same day.
UEFA explained that the error came from a software company they hired to conduct the draw.
At 9:00 p.m., Marchetti explained the mistake, and re-loaded with the same staff.
